Cannot connect to a sub directory in a shared drive when the rest of it is fine.

Solution

All directories in a shared drive are accessible but one buried deep down cant be accessed, you get a permission violation message. The user has a roaming profile and other users when logging on this machine has similar problems but are fine elsewhere.

Another indication is that s:\data\public...... doesn't work but \\BSDSERVER01\data\public\...... does.

Solution find the server find the drive to be mapped and re-map it, then  answer yes to the replace question.
